At Pisew Falls, the Grass River drops, turns and drives into a gorge. The short boardwalk approach gives visitors a close view of a dramatic river change without the backcountry commitment required for nearby Kwasitchewan.

Planning your visit
The falls are reached from Highway 6 south of Thompson. Use the observation platforms and distinguish this short visit from the much longer Kwasitchewan route. Check park access and services before departure, particularly outside the main travel season.
Our take
A strong northern Manitoba waterfall stop with a relatively simple approach. It is a sensible destination in its own right, even if a long hike is not on your itinerary.
