Twin Falls Territorial Park · Short walk

Alexandra Falls

Alexandra is one of the two major Hay River waterfalls in Twin Falls Territorial Park. Its scale makes it a prominent South Slave landmark, but the normal viewing experience cannot be assumed while erosion restrictions remain in effect.

Planning your visit

NWT Parks currently lists trails and viewing platforms at Alexandra Falls as closed because of erosion. Do not use the map link as an invitation to bypass those barriers. Read the park advisory for the exact affected areas before planning any visit.

Our take

Keep it on a future itinerary, but make reopening confirmation the first step. A dramatic viewpoint is not worth entering a closed, unstable riverbank area.
